Hey, that “special thread” end is the “Euro” stand end, it’s a 3/8″-16. The “US” thread size is 5/8″-27. Most mics these days that ship with clips usually include a female-euro to male-US adapter for those with euro stands, but as your video highlights the Rode blimp really needs a male-euro to female-US adapter. Hosa makes a nice metal one, model HMD4, that retails for like $4 USD.

I was kind of hoping from the title that this video would have some boom holding tips n’ tricks — different positions to hold the boom in, maybe some remote mounting tricks, etc. Could we get a video on that?
