This method is great IF you are not sharing your cables, because if you grab the ‘wrong’ end and try to throw the cable out, it will end up in many knots and REALLY slow you down! I used to work in an audio department and invariably someone (usually the new kid!) would wrap the cable in the wrong direction; not fun when you have the DP, director, producer, talent and gaffer waiting on you!
